Happy New Years!

Well it's New Year's resolution time and of course I need to start the diet thing and I will stick to that one but on top of that one, my second resolution is to keep up on this blog deal. Mr. Tucker is the center of our life, and we couldn't ask for a better little boy than our little Red Head! He is a whole 9 months old and when we were home over the holidays my sister did a spectacular job of catching these shots of him just being the cutest little boy ever! Please enjoy these new shots of our little boy. He really is our pride and joy!

Our April in a Nut Shell!!!

Ok, Ok!!! I know it's been way too long since I have posted something. It's all my fault, I just wanted to spend the most time with my little man as much as possible. So here it goes, a quick recap of our past month.....

Easter was spent at home, relaxing and soaking up all the quiet time we could get! Thank you to Grandma Lees for the colorful Hippo, Bruce for the cute Bunny hat, and Auntie Heather for the cute Chick shirt!

Grandma Lees came to visit for 10 days! It was wonderful to have her here again. So we were able to do a lot of pictures so I will probably just post a lot of those. Enjoy the pictures!!!

While Grandma was here Tucker was able to go to his first baseball game, and the Rangers kicked butt!

We were also able to do some more "Studio" shots! He is such a model!!

We also went in for a check up at 5 weeks and we were a whole 7lbs 12ozs! He is growing like a weed. He is also doing a great job holding his head up and playing tummy time! He loves it!

Thank you to all who have begged for more pictures and want an update on our little guy, you are keeping me on my toes. Don't worry, there will always pictures taken but getting them posted will always be the challenge!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the Mommy's out there! It truly is the best feeling the world!!!!

Tucker is 10 days old!

A quick update on Mr. Tucker! First off, here are more pictures of our second session in the "Photo Studio", actually the dining room! Ha ha! Mom did a great job on the pictures.
Not only did we have quite the roller coaster ride with the jaundice last week but Dad (Scott) discovered his little boy was tougne tied, like his Mommy was! Grandma took a look and sure enough, she confirmed it, it looked just like Mommy did. Apparently it runs in the family, Grandpa Slick was tounge tied as well. So not only did we get his hair but we got his tounge as well. I wonder if he is going to get Grandpa's fiesty personality as well! So, we went to a ENT specialist and sure enough he was tounge tied. They took us into another procedure room and I had to hold him with a towel wrapped around him, a nurse held his head and the doc took a couple snips at the tissue holding his tounge down and it was done! He stopped crying as soon as I was able to pick him up.
Here is Tucker chilling with Dad all stretched out. He has really filled out, we go in next week for our 2 week visit. Can't wait to hear how much this little man has gained, he is eating enough for two!
All cleaned up and no place to go, probably just to bed! Don't you just love his red hair, we spiked it just a little before it dried!
So that has been our first 10 days. We are having a blast in our new roles as parents!

Tucker Allen has arrived EARLY!!!!

Hi Everyone!

I am sure most of you know that our little bundle of joy has arrived 3 weeks early! On Sunday, at 2:45 Scott and I were just about to start arranging supper for the evening and we both were in the kitchen. I went to bend over to pick up the mustard the flew out of the fridge when I opened it, well as soon as I bent over I felt the trickle. Just the day before I was talking to my mom about being nervous on what it feels like when he was to arrive, well thank goodness for her description because she was right on! So there we were at home, both staring at each other, wondering what was the first thing we needed to do. I felt I needed to get in the shower, Scott thought we just needed to hit the road, I wasn't going anywhere the way I was! Sunday was the day we were going to pack the hospital bags for the BIG DAY and also get the pickup ready and install the car seat. Well the bags were packed in a matter of minutes, not really knowing what was going in it! Scott called the doctor and everyone else that needed to know about this big event, the phones were going crazy! We arrived the hospital at 4:00 and we were admitted and made comfortable in our Labor and Delivery Room. Then the fun began, as you can imagine and I will keep the details out of this writing, trust me it's good for you! We welcomed Tucker Allen Evans into this world at 4:12 am! Scott and I both instantly experienced that feeling! He was our baby boy, and we were going to LOVE him forever!!! Scott had to make a quick call to my Mom, she had a RED HEADED Grand baby boy! She didn't believe it! He was quite small weighing in at 5lbs 11.7oz, 19 in long, and 12 in head, but he was perfect!

We were discharged from the hospital on Tuesday and we were taking our little boy HOME! We couldn't believe this day was here. We arrived home and Oakley was very interested in what was that new thing was in the chair? She was very good, and continues to be. My mom and dad took the first flight to Texas to meet their new grandchild, they arrived Wednesday night. Thank you to everyone helping out my mom and dad at home to allow them to take off so quickly to come down here! Needless to say, they haven't let him out of their sight! Grandma can't keep her hands out of his hair. She still can't believe he's a red head!

Well his first outing was of course to his pediatrician on Thursday morning and this would be the reason you haven't heard from me till now. We knew he had a case of jaundice and we were struggling to get weight on because my milk hasn't come in yet, so we were expecting some weight loss. When the doctor first took a look at him, he instantly sent us to the hospital for a heel stick STAT! He gave us boxes of formula and advised us to get something into that boys belly NOW! So of course, Scott and I hit serious mode and followed every word he said. His results came back rather high but not high enough to be admitted to the hospital. He was to be treated with photo therapy at home. As you can see from the pictures, our little boy spent Thursday night and Friday in his own personal tanning bed, not really tanning. The toughest part was we couldn't hold him. It was terrible but he was the most tolerable little boy. He laid in that bed just as sound as could be. The nurse came out Friday morning and tested his blood and weighed him, he gained 7 oz in less than one day, and later that afternoon, we heard from the doctor. He was very happy with his results and couldn't believe the weight gain, Dr. Day's words, "That's just stupid weight." So we were in the clear, he didn't have to spend another minute in that tanning bed!

So here we are on Saturday and Mom had to do a quick photo session, boy did we have a great model! More will be posted after our session tomorrow.

We are enjoying our little boy so much, he is a blast to snuggle and cuddle and very hard to put put down for a nap, therefore he takes turns sleeping in every ones arms during the day!
So that's been our past week, much has happened and changed for the GREAT! We couldn't be the most happy and lucky parents in the world, wow I just called Scott and I parents! Yep our life has changed for the better!

Love to all,
Scott, Jenny and Tucker

Baby Update!!

Well it's the middle of March, and this little man is thinking of coming a couple of weeks early! We are all very excited. We had a sonogram on Friday and he is head down and weighing about 6 lbs 7 oz. Now that's a give or take a half pound or so but still we are a little bigger than expected. We then met with the doctor and she checked everything over and I am dilated almost 3 cm, so we are getting close! I have had contractions but nothing too terrible so we are moving along quite nicely! I did have Scott take a couple pictures of me but sorry, I really don't think you want to see them, or should I say I don't want you to see them! I am as big as a HORSE!!!!
Sorry for the quick note but I just wanted to give you all a brief update! Hopefully next time, there will be pictures!
Love to all!

Hi Everyone!!

The month of January came and went! Our visit with the doctor went very well, Mom as able to come with me this time and hear the Baby's heartbeat, she was also my support for the dreaded sweet orange drink to test for gestational diabetes! Yuck! Boy did the little guy love the sugar though, he was a bouncing around!!!

That same weekend since Mom and Dad were here, they were able to help us put the nursery together and do some preping for the baby. WOW, we got a lot done! Everything is ready!!! I never thought I would say that! HUGE THANK YOU TO MOM AND DAD!!!!

As you can see, we have tried to incorporate everything Scott and I have grown up with. We have the farm animals everywhere. Scott is very proud to have his train put on the shelf ready for him to take down and start running for him. There will not be much this boy will be without!

We are also very lucky to have great friends here in Texas. Thank you to Brad, Kylene and Todd, they threw us a Baby Shower for all of our John Deere friends here in Dallas. I think everyone enjoyed themselves, and we defintely loved having everyone at our house and they were able to meet my parents! They feel much better about having a grandchild amongst such great friends!

Well that was our January, and man did it go fast! We have just over 2 months to go till this little guy shows up to stay tuned for more! Love to all!!

Jenny
