Tucker Allen has arrived EARLY!!!!

Hi Everyone!

I am sure most of you know that our little bundle of joy has arrived 3 weeks early! On Sunday, at 2:45 Scott and I were just about to start arranging supper for the evening and we both were in the kitchen. I went to bend over to pick up the mustard the flew out of the fridge when I opened it, well as soon as I bent over I felt the trickle. Just the day before I was talking to my mom about being nervous on what it feels like when he was to arrive, well thank goodness for her description because she was right on! So there we were at home, both staring at each other, wondering what was the first thing we needed to do. I felt I needed to get in the shower, Scott thought we just needed to hit the road, I wasn't going anywhere the way I was! Sunday was the day we were going to pack the hospital bags for the BIG DAY and also get the pickup ready and install the car seat. Well the bags were packed in a matter of minutes, not really knowing what was going in it! Scott called the doctor and everyone else that needed to know about this big event, the phones were going crazy! We arrived the hospital at 4:00 and we were admitted and made comfortable in our Labor and Delivery Room. Then the fun began, as you can imagine and I will keep the details out of this writing, trust me it's good for you! We welcomed Tucker Allen Evans into this world at 4:12 am! Scott and I both instantly experienced that feeling! He was our baby boy, and we were going to LOVE him forever!!! Scott had to make a quick call to my Mom, she had a RED HEADED Grand baby boy! She didn't believe it! He was quite small weighing in at 5lbs 11.7oz, 19 in long, and 12 in head, but he was perfect!

We were discharged from the hospital on Tuesday and we were taking our little boy HOME! We couldn't believe this day was here. We arrived home and Oakley was very interested in what was that new thing was in the chair? She was very good, and continues to be. My mom and dad took the first flight to Texas to meet their new grandchild, they arrived Wednesday night. Thank you to everyone helping out my mom and dad at home to allow them to take off so quickly to come down here! Needless to say, they haven't let him out of their sight! Grandma can't keep her hands out of his hair. She still can't believe he's a red head!

Well his first outing was of course to his pediatrician on Thursday morning and this would be the reason you haven't heard from me till now. We knew he had a case of jaundice and we were struggling to get weight on because my milk hasn't come in yet, so we were expecting some weight loss. When the doctor first took a look at him, he instantly sent us to the hospital for a heel stick STAT! He gave us boxes of formula and advised us to get something into that boys belly NOW! So of course, Scott and I hit serious mode and followed every word he said. His results came back rather high but not high enough to be admitted to the hospital. He was to be treated with photo therapy at home. As you can see from the pictures, our little boy spent Thursday night and Friday in his own personal tanning bed, not really tanning. The toughest part was we couldn't hold him. It was terrible but he was the most tolerable little boy. He laid in that bed just as sound as could be. The nurse came out Friday morning and tested his blood and weighed him, he gained 7 oz in less than one day, and later that afternoon, we heard from the doctor. He was very happy with his results and couldn't believe the weight gain, Dr. Day's words, "That's just stupid weight." So we were in the clear, he didn't have to spend another minute in that tanning bed!

So here we are on Saturday and Mom had to do a quick photo session, boy did we have a great model! More will be posted after our session tomorrow.

We are enjoying our little boy so much, he is a blast to snuggle and cuddle and very hard to put put down for a nap, therefore he takes turns sleeping in every ones arms during the day!
So that's been our past week, much has happened and changed for the GREAT! We couldn't be the most happy and lucky parents in the world, wow I just called Scott and I parents! Yep our life has changed for the better!

Love to all,
Scott, Jenny and Tucker

Baby Update!!

Well it's the middle of March, and this little man is thinking of coming a couple of weeks early! We are all very excited. We had a sonogram on Friday and he is head down and weighing about 6 lbs 7 oz. Now that's a give or take a half pound or so but still we are a little bigger than expected. We then met with the doctor and she checked everything over and I am dilated almost 3 cm, so we are getting close! I have had contractions but nothing too terrible so we are moving along quite nicely! I did have Scott take a couple pictures of me but sorry, I really don't think you want to see them, or should I say I don't want you to see them! I am as big as a HORSE!!!!
Sorry for the quick note but I just wanted to give you all a brief update! Hopefully next time, there will be pictures!
Love to all!
